Halloween Party. Lots of pictures!!!

Tonight was our Trick or Treat pre-party with some of our neighbors and close friends. What a blast! The kids had a great time. I had a fabulously fun time planning and executing this party. I think I successfully did my part filling the kids up with as much sugar as I possibly could in the short time I had! :)

Grab a cup of coffee, perhaps a snack and get comfortable, because below are a TON of pictures! Lots of the dessert buffet, complete w/ toothbrushes. ;) Some of the menu which included mac n cheese for the kiddos as well as grapes served out of little treat buckets (everything is better when you eat it out of a mini bucket!). And there are even a few pics of the kids table.

Enjoy (if you dare)!!

Candy Corn Cupcakes

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!! I'm getting so super excited for the big night, but the next best thing to watching the kids go trick or treating is Halloween parties! Today my friend Shannon is having a little costume party for our playgroup (average age is about 20 months) and I can't WAIT to see all our babies in their costumes!! :)

I made some special treats for the little monsters to devour. They're mini cupcakes, the perfect size for little mouths.

I love the way these turned out. So simple, but totally cute! :)

And here is a sneak peek at my girls' costumes this year. An angel and a devil. You have no idea how appropriate the costumes are for these two!!!!

Seersucker and Crabs Baby Shower

Here is a cake I did for an old college friend who was throwing a Seersucker/Crabs themed baby shower. The inspiration for this cake came from this picture of a cute little Seersucker/Crabs romper.

Seersucker cake balls. :)
What a cute baby shower theme for a little southern gentleman to be! I thought it was such an original idea that I put together a few party ideas in case anyone else is a seersucker's fan.

click pic to enlarge

First off, this party theme needs lots of blue and white stripe w/ splashes of red. Check out this amazing party put together by Kim from TomKat Studios. Not a seersucker party, but the color scheme goes!
And in the top right corner is a great idea using baby bottles as drink containers for your guests! I love it. Stick a blue and white striped paper straw in it and you've got seersucker written all over this cute idea! Found here.
Right below that...napkins! Find white and blue striped and use red utensils. Tie it up w/ some blue and white ribbon and add a red paci on for a cute baby accent!

Bottom left corner has a great table scape design for a seersucker party. Next to the table are paper crabs, found here, that you could scatter on the table.
And last, don't forget to give your guests an after dinner mint! Blue and white peppermint candies are just the thing! Its all in the details!!!!

I discovered a whole new level of patience I never thought I had while working on these.
