Love this sweet little girly Elmo cake!!! Kendall's mama wanted a cake to match the invitation (see below) and I was so excited when she sent me the proof. I immediately fell in love with the girly color scheme of red, pink and orange!!
I could do an Elmo cake every day of the week! He is just so happy and quite the friendly face to have hanging around in the kitchen, especially in those early morning hours OR late at night (which seems to be the only time I get to work on cakes now a days!). When does my 3 year old start preschool again?????? But I'm not complaining...you can't be tired when Elmo is around!! ;)
Happy Birthday Kendall!! Hope it was a great one!! :)

Hands down, the most popular party theme of the month (in my cake world) is definitely NAUTICAL!!! Here is another fun nautical themed cake for another precious little boy (only he is not turning one, but instead coming soon). :)

First off, let me start off by saying THIS IS NOT MY ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! lol (not that there's anything wrong with having babies...I'm just done having mine!) ;)
A client of mine recently contacted me with some BIG news! She and her husband just found out they are having their first baby! ;)) Their whole family is in LOVE with cake balls and they thought it would be a great way to announce their big news to the family using their favorite treat! :) What a fun opportunity for me! Of course I was all over it, no matter how busy my schedule is I can always fit in some time for cake balls and babies! :))
I used stamps (minus the ink) and fondant disks to spell out the message (attaching the disks with a little dab of frosting). I can just imagine what her sweet mama did when she opened this box of cake balls!!!! ;))
Congrats to the special couple and their wonderful family! Best of luck as you enter the most wonderful, exciting stage of your lives!!!! ahhhh, children make the world go round don't they!?!?

This past weekend I was fortunate enough to do a first birthday cake for the cutest little man whose family I adore!!! Dylan's mommy chose a nautical themed 1st birthday party to go along with the nautical nursery she designed for her little boy. I LOVE how this cake turned out and am so happy I was able to be a part of Dylan's big day! :))
Happy 1st Birthday Dylan!!!
