So first up I have to show you what my poor little Bailey did for almost an hour before the party. Starting at 8:45 in the morning (party was at 10:30) she'd ask, every 2 minutes, "are my friends here yet?" Finally at 9:30 I said, "Bailey no! They're not here. Why don't you go wait by the door?"
Didn't think she would, but she did...
She set up two chairs by the door. One for her and one for sister.

And they waited....

I loved creating this fun and colorful lunch table!!
Time to make some art!
After painting it was time for the girls to have lunch. They each had their own lunch sack w/ their first inital embroidered on the top. After lunch the girls filled their bags with craft supplies from the art buffet!

And last but not least, my Bailey girl playing with her treasures from the craft buffet. She had so much fun creating crazy things after her friends left.
Hi Kate!
ReplyDeleteI love the cans with the paint falling effect!
I´m working on the same theme so I think I´m gonna use(steal) the idea! :)
Congrats!!
So creative!! I was so in awe of the pics that I didn't read how the paint cans were hung! Very cool! It looks like it was worth the wait at the door!! =)
ReplyDeleteSO so cute!! Bailey is going to have one hell of a sweet 16!!!
ReplyDeleteOk, there is much that I love about this party. (are all you playdates major events?!)
ReplyDeleteLove the paint spilling from the cans, love the idea of an art table instead of a candy table, LOVE the cupcakes and cake balls palettes!
Love love love! When I was a kid, this would have been my dream party!
ReplyDeleteI love the "paint" spilling out of the cans! Very creative!
ReplyDeleteI'm throwing an art themed graduation party, and i would love to know how you were able to suspend the paint cans, if you're willing to share!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like fishing line
ReplyDeleteI am echoing all of the above comments and loving the spilling paint cans... If it is fishing line, how did you string it through the can, tilt the cans just so, etc? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh, sorry y'all!! Yes, its fishing line! Works like a charm! ;)
ReplyDeletethere's a lot which i adore relating to this celebration. (are a person playdates main occasions?! )#)
ReplyDeleteAdore the actual fresh paint spilling in the containers, adore the thought of a skill desk rather than the chocolate desk, ADORE the actual cookies as well as dessert golf balls palettes!

Hi! I am getting ready to give my daughter an Art Birthday party and I love the paint cans! Would you mind shooting me an email on how you got them to hang and tilt? I figure it's fishing wire, but how did you manage the tilt? LOL! Thanks in advance! reedcrystal1@gmail.com
